The 2024 Victoria Estes Memorial Scholarship is now available to graduating high school junior and senior students as well as students enrolled in college, university or trade school as a current freshmen, sophomore or junior.

Security Credit Union’s youth savings and checking account programs make learning about finances easy and fun. Help the youth in your life build positive banking habits early and set them up for a future of financial success!

 

Security Credit Union Building Blocks Kids Accounts

Building Blocks Savings Account Program

Birth to Age 8

Our Building Blocks Savings Account Program encourages children, ages 8 and younger, to set aside money earned or gifted and teaches them the benefits of financial savings. Children enrolled in Building Blocks Club will enjoy the following:

  • Account Card
  • Free Gift for opening account
  • Automatic transfer to Secure Start at Age 9
  • Birthday Rewards:
    • Birthday postcard
    • Automatic entry for a chance to win a $25 Visa Gift Card during the month of your birthday.
      * Winner randomly drawn at the end of your birthday month. Winner will be notified via phone at least five days after drawing.
      * One entry per person
    • Visit a branch one time during the month of your birthday for a chance to grab a handful of coins. Whatever amount pulled will be deposited into account on the same day.
    • Building Blocks Savings Punch Card Program:
      Receive a punch for every $10 deposited into account.
      *Limit of 2 punches per day and 10 per month.
      Different Progress Points for the rewards are set at 5,15, and 20 punches; Rewards will be given at each progress point.

With a parent or legal guardian as a joint owner, your child or grandchild will be enrolled in the Building Blocks Savings Account Program and start reaping the benefits of our credit union membership.

 

 

 

Security Credit Union Secure Start Youth Accounts

Secure Start Checking & Savings Account Program

Age 9 to Age 13

The Secure Start Checking & Savings Account Program teaches children ages 9 to 13 the importance of finances, particularly saving money. Members enrolled in Security Credit Union’s Secure Start Program will enjoy the following:

  • Account Card
  • Free Gift for opening account
  • Automatic transfer to Amplified at Age 14
  • Birthday Rewards:
    • Birthday postcard
    • Automatic entry for a chance to win a $25 Visa Gift Card during the month of your birthday.
      * Winner randomly drawn at the end of your birthday month. Winner will be notified via phone at least five days after drawing.
      * One entry per person
  • Good Grades, Good Rewards:
    • Receive an SCU trinket or $2 by bringing in your report card and showing us your good grades!
      * Must present current report card. Rewards will be awarded the day the report card is presented to an SCU employee.

Secure Start Savings Accounts require a deposit of only $5 and a parent or legal guardian to get started!

Amplified Checking & Savings Account Program

Age 14 to Age 17

The Amplified Checking & Savings Account Program puts teens ages 14 to 17 on a path to financial stability and success. Members enrolled in Security Credit Union’s Amplified Program will enjoy the following:
