Priority Children of Genesee County will be holding its 24th Annual Children's Champion Awards on February 8, 2019, and Security Credit Union will participate as a sponsor of the Caring Adult Award. Priority Children was launched to organize a community-wide effort to improve the quality of life for children in Genesee County.

Security Credit Union is a proud sponsor of the Lapeer Literacy Center Camel Races that are held on May 3, 2019. Sponsors purchase wooden camels that race to the toss of the big, fuzzy dice. Guests bet on their favorites camel.
BUSKER FEST - JUNE 2019
Security Credit Union will sponsor an act at the 2nd annual Busker Fest in Imlay City. The Busker Fest will take place June 14th-15th. A busker is a person who entertains in a public place for donations. The Busker Fest features individuals with amazing skills and bravery. There is also a pet parade, and a 5k.

On September 11, 2019, Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) will hold their annual Cards' Party. This SVSU tradition is a student involvement fair where student organizations, non‐profit organizations, and businesses gather to educate students about the many opportunities in our community.
ALLY CHALLENGE – SEPTEMBER 2019
On September 13 ‐ 15, 2019, Security Credit Union is a sponsor of the Ally Challenge at Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club in Grand Blanc. The event is designed to showcase champion golfers from the PGA Tour to benefit local charities in the greater Flint area. The three official rounds are televised internationally on the Golf Channel for the enjoyment of spectators.
FOOD BANK OF EASTERN MICHIGAN EMPTY BOWLS – SEPTEMBER 2019
On September 29, 2019, Security Credit Union employees will attend the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan’s annual “Empty Bowls” event. The event includes a simple meal of soup and bread from a variety of local chefs and restaurants along with dessert, live music, a silent auction, cooking demonstrations. Attendees are able to choose from a variety of hand‐made bowls created by local artisans as a reminder of the hunger plaguing our community.

The Grand Blanc Fire Department hosts its annual Fire Safety Open House on October 9, 2019. The open house features a number of fun and educational activities geared toward children and families. Children are also able to interact with various fire department equipment.

On Saturday, October 14, 2019, The American Cancer Society will host its annual “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” 5K walk in Downtown Flint. A team of employees representing Security Credit Union will be joined by millions of people in more than 300 communities nationwide to help support the fight against breast cancer.

SCU will participate in the Zonta Club of Lapeer’s 18th annual Fantasy Forest on Saturday, October 14, 2019. Local organizations and businesses set up stations along the Rowden Park’s mile‐long walking path. Each station is decorated with a theme and provided an activity and treats for the kids.
