This service will allow you to access your account the following convenient ways:

Text Banking - access your accounts via text messages on your mobile phone. It's a fast, easy way to look up account balances or recent account history.

Mobile Browser Access - access your account via a mobile web browser designed for mobile phones. (WAP 2.0 or higher and cookies-enabled support required.)

Downloadable Mobile Applications - a device-specific application that resides on your mobile phone. It generally provides the richest user experience. Applications available for iPhone and Android.


Downloadable iPad Application - a device-specific application that resides on your iPad. It generally provides the richest user experience.

SCU Mobile Deposit - allows you to deposit checks to your account from any location by taking a picture of the original check and sending the image to Security Credit Union with your mobile phone. Register today at any Security office.

What access modes are available?

SCU Mobile offers Text Banking, Mobile Browser Access and Downloadable Applications.

Can I use more than one access mode on my phone?

Yes, you can use any combination of modes from the same phone. You will need to activate each option separately on your phone prior to use.

What functions can I perform with Mobile Banking?

Mobile app and Mobile web allow you to view account balances and recent activity, and to transfer funds. Text banking allows you to view balances and recent activity.

Is it secure?

Yes, all modes of access are secure. The Mobile Browser and Downloadable Application utilize best practices from online banking such as HTTPS, 128-bit SSL encryption, password access and application time-out when your phone is not in use. Only the phones that you personally enroll in the service can access your accounts. No confidential information is ever stored on your phone. If your phone is lost or stolen, the service can be immediately disabled either by going online to the Mobile Banking enrollment website or calling us. In addition, with Text Banking no confidential information is transmitted in text messages. Users should delete text messages after obtaining information.

Do I need a text messaging or data plan for Mobile Banking?

Yes, a text messaging or data plan is needed, as "pay-as-you-go" usage can become expensive without one. Check with your wireless carrier for more information.

How do I enroll?

You can enroll using a mobile device, desktop or laptop computer. Activation is a one-time process that helps ensure your security. The Social Security Number of the Primary Member on the account must be used to enroll. After you enroll a mobile phone, you will receive an activation code which will be required to begin using the service. We recommend you print your activation code and instructions for easy reference during installation. Enroll Now

How do I register for SCU Mobile Deposit?

Members will have to sign up for SCU Mobile Deposit at any Security office.

If I deposit a check using SCU Mobile Deposit, when will my funds be available?

Processing times and check holds vary. If you have questions, give us a call.

After depositing a check using SCU Mobile Deposit, what should I do with the original check?

Please hold on to the check for 60 days and then securely destroy it.



Never send credit card, banking, or other sensitive information via simple text messaging. SMS (Short Message Service) text messages are rarely encrypted and are thus open to theft. Never respond to any email offer to download and use a new banking phone application. Only use applications provided from Security Credit Union through the enrollment process.

Safety Tips for Your Mobile Device

  • Password protect your mobile device.
  • For mobile devices using the Android operating system, do not enable Android's "install from unknown sources" feature.
  • Never store usernames and passwords on the device.
  • Keep the mobile device with you or secure the device when not in use.
  • Do not modify the mobile device as it may disable important security features.
  • Install antivirus software.
  • Do not respond to text messages requesting personal information, such as Social Security numbers, credit/debit/ATM card numbers, and account numbers.
  • Adopt safe practices as you would using your personal computers, including not opening attachments or clicking on links contained in email received from unfamiliar sources.
